One year ago today at 3:30pm (pst), our little man entered the world and made his mommy and daddy the happiest parents on earth :-) We love you bubby! Check out our photo slide show to see how our little man has grown over the year. Make sure your speakers are on!!!! October 22, 2006 -Welcome to Reshen's "new" page. This will serve as a temporary replacement until we fix his old page. We are still updating photos, videos and news here, so check often. Thanks for visiting :-) June 07, 2006 -Our computer died!!! Sadly, we lost lots of important files- including our address book. If you can help us out, please fill out the contact information form here so that we can create a new address book. Thanks! May 19, 2006 -Reeshen is 6 months old today. Time sure flies! Our boy now weighs 15lbs, 14oz and is 25.5 inches long. He's on his knees these days and pushing backwards. He enjoys new faces and loves attention from strangers, smiling and "talking" to all who catch his eye. We love our little man so much! April 30, 2006 -He is not sleeping very much. Mommy is SO tired. April 29, 2006 -Reeshen had his first taste of rice cereal. He loves it and tries to "help" by grabbing the spoon- almost gagging himself sometimes as he shoves it into his mouth. See the video in baby movies :-) April 26, 2006 -We're now spelling our boy's name Reeshen instead of Reshen, to make it easier for others to pronounce. It's not "officially" changed yet, but we're planning to do this in the near future. April 25, 2006 -Reeshen and mommy are now spending weekdays with 9-month-old Tommy. We're all having a great time :-) April 24, 2006 -Reeshen holds his arms out for mommy when he wants her :-) April 20, 2006 -The little man wore his first 6-9 month clothes today. April 19, 2006 -Reeshen is 5 months old today! April 14, 2006 -The little man found his toes and likes to hold them whenever he's on his back- even when he's nursing! April 11, 2006 -Reeshen is 15lbs 8oz and 26" long. April 1, 2006 -Reeshen has decided he does NOT want to go to sleep and cries/screams at naps and bedtime. March 30, 2006 -Reshen figured out how to roll from his back to his front! We can't lay him down now without him curling into a ball and rolling onto his belly. We now know our days of his blissful immobility are numbered... March 28, 2006 -The little man rolled over on purpose today (front to back)! He's really trying to roll from his back to his front as well, but can't figure out what to do with his arm- it keeps getting trapped beneath his belly and he flips himself back onto his back every time. He's working hard,though, and we're sure he'll be an expert roller soon. He also is using his tounge to forcefully blow bubbles and sprays spit all over mommy and daddy. It makes quite a wonderful noise, as well. :-) March 23, 2006 -Reshen had his 4 Month Check-up today. He's 14lbs 13oz and is 24.5" long. He's healthy and growing normally. March 19, 2006 -Reshen is 4 months old today! March 17, 2006 -Reshen is very grabby now and pulled the animals off his toy bar on his bouncy seat today (they were attached with velcro). Every time we reattached them, he would pull them back off. March 10, 2006 -Reshen is really working those hands and is now grabbing things (including mommy's hair) and bringing them to his mouth as best he can. It's fun to play with him and watch him try to manipulate rattles and other toys. He's almost rolling over and can get onto his side (he hasn't done it again since he did it on accident a month or so ago). He also chuckled today when I kissed his hands. I just can't get enough of my little man! March 6, 2006 -Today Reshen and mommy returned to Seattle from a trip to Indiana. We were there from 2-24 to 3-6. Reshen finally got to meet his great-grandparents and his many great aunts and uncles and cousins and "aunties." He was super smiley and chatty all week. He did wonderfully on all his flights- mommy is VERY happy about that!! It was fun to have some family time, but we're also glad to be back home with daddy and are trying to get back into our normal routine. February 22, 2006 -Our baby is learning so many new things. He has found his hands and holds them together when they're not in his mouth (he chews on his fists and fingers all the time). He can hold his head up so well and is doing great on his tummy. He has also begun doing a "fake" cry- which is more of a whine with no tears- we at least have a warning now before he begins to really wail. February 19, 2006 -Reshen is 3 months old today!! February 8, 2006 -Last night Reshen slept for 6 straight hours and it was in his own crib and room! We are so proud of him and enjoying some longer periods of sleep. February 5, 2006 -Reshen had his first taste of formula today and was not too happy! He must know that breastmilk is best and refused to take the bottle from Alan. He has taken a bottle of breastmilk from Alan a few times before, so we're thinking it's the formula he's rejecting- not the bottle. I was hoping he would take one bottle of formula a day so that he and Alan could bond and I could pump at that time and get a good supply of frozen breastmilk going (in case I go back to work). Perhaps we'll try a different brand.. February 4, 2006 -We had a good time in San Diego. Reshen got to put his toes in the sand for the first time, and seemed to enjoy it. He spent a lot of time in his front-pack and was a great little traveler for the most part. He doesn't like the car seat, so car rides were tough, but overall, a good trip! February 1, 2006 -Reshen had his first flight today. He did pretty great, mostly nursing and sleeping. Only one meltdown after the plane landed and we had to sit on the runway for a long time. The plane got really stuffy and hot and Reshen got uncomfortable we think. He cried pretty hard and loud- I'm sure everyone was ready to get off the plane when the door finally opened. But overall, a successful flight we think. January 29, 2006 -Reshen is blowing so many bubbles these days- he is getting his shirts all wet and we've been putting a bib on him much of the day because of this. He is also making some great attempts at laughing. So cute! January 26, 2006 -Reshen had his 2-month well-baby check-up today. He's 11lbs 13oz and is 23 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile for both height and weight, so that's great. He had 5 immunizations- tramatic for both baby and mommy, although he recovered faster than I did, I think. He's doing great! January 25, 2006 -Today Reshen wore his first 3-6 month clothes. He's growing out of some of his 0-3 and can now wear the smaller of his 3-6. I can't believe how fast it's going. Sad and proud at the same time! January 22, 2006 -Reshen surprised mommy- and even himself, I think- by rolling from his front to his back today. I think it was by accident, but is still exciting! January 19, 2006 -2 months old today! He is "talking" a lot and sleeping a little bit better. He's getting so big! January 17, 2006 -Today was Reshen's first professional photo session. He did well- no crying at all! We got some good photos that really capture how tiny he is :-) January 13, 2006 -Reshen is putting a lot of weight on his legs when held in a standing position. It's his favorite thing to do these days. January 6, 2006 -Our boy is sleeping a bit better now. Thank God!! January 4, 2006 -We're not sure why...but Reshen has decided he will only sleep 30 minutes at a time...even at night!! I am utterly exhausted! January 2, 2006 -Our boy is very chatty these days and really gets cooing. It's the most beautiful sound in the world... December 31, 2005 -6 weeks old and Reshen is on a sleeping strike. He is also beginning to smile and coo and is a lot more active when awake. December 21, 2005 -Reshen flashed me his first "real" smile today. It totally wasn't gas or reflexes as he previous smiles were. He really grinned! December 19, 2005 -Our baby is 1 month old and weighs 8 lbs and 11 ounces. December 4, 2005 -Reshen is 2 weeks old today. He's eating and sleeping well and is working hard on neck control (he's really strong!). Mommy and daddy are really enjoying him. November 19, 2005 -Reshen is born at 3:30 pm. He weighs 7 lbs 13 oz and is 19 in long.
